Naishi no kami (尚侍)
Naishi no kami indicates as follows. 1. the highest government post for the court lady during the Meiji and Taisho periods.
2. the government post for the court lady who served as Kami (director) of Naishi no tsukasa. Naishi no kami attended on the emperor, being in charge of conveying messages from retainers to the emperor and the orders from the emperor to retainers. Later, Naishi no kami was ranked with Nyogo and Koui in the women's quarters in the Imperial Palace.
